Professional Data Visualization

EIBSight stores the acculated telegrams not only they actually occured on the bus, but transforms the data into time-based information, allowing easy queries against the database.

EIBSight supports two types of basic chart data.

  1. Single value chart
  2. Comparison chart

With the single value chart, you can visualize one group-address. For the given group-address, you select a time-frame (ie. Feb 1 2006 - August 1 2007, a time-scale (hour, day, month, year, hour of day, day of month, day of week) and a chart type.

Time-Scales

Time-Scales allow to to visualize the data in a human-usable format. Real-time data ist really easy to make decisions on, since there may be significant noise in the data, which may be misleading. EIBSight automatically norms the data it receives to a basic time-unit of one hour, in order to deliver meaningful data to decision-makers.

Hour, day, month and year time-scales are pretty straightforward. They will deliver the weighted-average value of the data value received for an hour, day or month. For each of these values, you can view the maximum value, the minimum value, the average value, the number of telegrams and the change for the given timeframe.

Hour of day, day of month, day of week allow you to view the data adjusted to the particular time-scale. "Hour of day" you can visualize what happens in the particular time frame in 24 hours of a day. In this manner, your are able to see what happens in the time-frame at 6:00, at 8:00 or at 16:00 hours. This information can aid in adjusting values to optimize production performance, control heating, lighting and so forth. Day of month and day of week operate in a similar manner. For each of these values, you can view the maximum value, the minimum value, the average value, the number of telegrams and the change for the given timeframe.
